Jeni has a transdisciplinary background spanning architecture, computer science, and interaction design, publishing on Human-Computer Interaction. Hilary Davis
Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Impact, Swinburne University of Technology. Her work investigates the role digital technologies play in people’s work, social activities and home lives. She conducts most of her work in regional and rural settings and is keen on using HCI to showcase and foster sustainable and resilient rural communities. Hilary likes to drink bubbles on the beach.
Axel Munoz Rivas
PhD Candidate at Swinburne University, working on a thesis titled, “Bushfires, resilience under fire”: Towards dynamic resilience building in rural communities to face the threat of bushfires.”. Axel has strong training in resilience and sustainability due to the focus of his PhD research. In addition, he has personal connections to farming and food production, as well as food preparation. Axel likes to drink wine while he is cooking.
Yvonne Rogers
Professor of Interaction Design at University College of London, UK. Her research interests are in the areas of ubiquitous computing, interaction design and human-computer interaction. A central theme in her work surrounds how to design interactive technologies that can enhance life by augmenting and extending everyday learning and work activities. Yvonne likes to drink wine all over the world, but especially with friends.
Margot Brereton
Professor in Computer Human Interaction at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. Margot researches the participatory interaction design of ubiquitous computing technologies and their interfaces. She develops innovative designs, methods, and theoretical understandings by designing to support real user communities in selected challenging contexts. Margot likes to drink wine while camping.
